The Dow in January 2009
On the 5th of December, when I wrote my last article about the Dow, the target of the head and shoulder pattern seemed easy to reach, but it turned out to be not so.
Since then the market tanked, and went sideways. It did not go over the last high, of 14th November, nor the 1st Dec. It is waiting…
Looking at the Fibonacci days, the next turns in the market should be January 6, which is 45 days from the 21.Nov.low and 22nd January, which is 62 days from this low.
30 min graph:
Looking at the sky there are many triggers these days to push the market up to the levels I mentioned before: 8786, 8899, 9011, 9352, 9514, 9676.
During the whole month of December the Dow tested the bottoms of 8350-70 3 times. If this bottom will keep, then the targets of the pattern will be reached. The full moon on the 12th did mark a bottom, as I said in my previous article.
If it'll break with BIG volume, then we shall see again the lows of Dec 8 and Nov 21, and worse.
Gann turning days : 5th January, and the 20th, also point to a change in trend around these days.
Days to watch:
1.01.2009 Mercury ingress to Aqr
3.01.2009 Venus ingress to Psc
5.01.2009 Jupiter ingress to Aqr
11.01.2009 Mercury turns retro! 7°45'23"Aqr
20.01.2009 Sun ingress to Aqr
21.01.2009 Mercury to Cap
Full Moon on the 11th of January
New Moon on the 26th in Aquarius.- these days will be important as well.
We should also notice the stellium forming in Aquarius with Jupiter's ingress to this sign. Aquarius will be quite crowded with Mercury, N.Node, Chiron, Neptune there! And will be more so on the 16th of February, when Chiron will conjunct Neptune.
We can see again the important days I mentioned above; will be combined with major moves from the planets as well.
Analyzing the angles the planets make, during the month of January the soft angles are in charge. Not one square between any planet. Will this mean a lazy market, or a falling one, because there is no drive? Usually January is a weak month, so we'll see. Maybe Jupiter will bring it's powers after all.
Happy New Year!
